Hilary Schmitt, LMFT, jumped at the opportunity to work with POST because she saw that by joining the team she could help fulfill a need that is unique. As the Child and Family therapist at POST, Hilary spends time both in the office and at the hospital with the children, their families, and even staff, walking them through their cancer journeys.

After having taken a Psychology class in High School, and an interest in working with children, Hilary was soon on her way to making a career of them both. A student of the University of Florida, Hilary pursued a double Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Psychology, and afterward a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. Growing up, her family set an example for her by helping others in their community. She now follows suit.

Hilary is from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She spends her down time running, doing yoga and traveling the outdoors with her family. She loves to eat ethnic foods like Thai and Indian cuisines, as well as fresh fish.

Hilary Schmitt’s spirit animal is the Sea Turtle, “because they have a cool story.”
